so this time has been so amazing serving here in Honduras. the heat is killing me, but its awesome! SO i am super excited right now though because our area is a little way from the church and everyone has some hard times getting to the meetings, but our ward has been working hard on being able to rent a bus to help all the members and investigators make it to general conference which i cant believe is here in TWO WEEKS!! im excited because of the amazing chance i will be having...

Well this week has been amazing because i have been seeing a bunch of old friends that i have known from different areas, and they have been so excited to tell us about how they are still going or how they got baptized or how someone else has been. the best part is feeling like alma did in alma 17:1
I "did rejoice exceedingly to see my brethren; and what added more to my joy, they were still my brethren in the Lord; yea, and they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God."

Also me and my companion are getting along alot better. he had been having a really hard time adjusting to the mission but has been talking to our leaders and calming down and we have been working hard.

I am in love with this mission and enjoying every second of this time...

Ok so just FYI to everyone, yesterday was the great 15th of September! or independence day! Here it just means a bunch of parades and noone doing anything but watching the parades of all the high schoolers XD

also just fyi... im dying of heat over here if you all want to know... I have been sweating and dying BUT the great part of this place here where i am writing this great letter is that... there is no such thing as fans!

Ok enough whining! OK SO this week has been awesome because we have been working supr hard to start work in an area called Siboney, where the missionaries havent really visited in a long time and is poor, so the people cant really go to church, BUT they have started being really animated because the Bishop of our ward is setting up an activity of all the families in this area to start selling something called baleads (dilicious...) and we are going to start renting a bus that will be able to bring the 30 or more people to church that live there! The people are working hard and are excited, and the best part is we had a movie night in a families house and we were able to bring 34 people to this house and it was awesome!

The highlight was that on saturday night we met this really receptive guy in the street who showe dup to church on sunday! my companion was so excited during the church he was explainging EVERYTHING to the guy. at the end he gave him a book of mormon to read, and the guy refued! he then told us he still had his form when he served his mission in chili... he was a jerk, but it was great to find him because he just came to our colony and has been trying to find where the church was located here! it was great!

Mostly i have been working hard and dont have many crazy stories this week... We are starting to really work hard with the members and do some great work. Our area has amazing leaders who are so willing to help us out. We are working hard and loving all the time we can have here. My comp is 18 and is having a hard time adjusting to the life style but i am trying my hardest to make it easy on him. We are really loving our area even though its huge. Sorry that there arent a huge number of stories this week... i was a little busy checking up school stuff. BUT i love you all and love this time i have still!!

I am writing to let you all know, that i am loving my new area! We are wokring really hard in the form of reactivation. The real work is to pretty much train the members that they should be reactiviating not us, so in the future we can be an assstant not the only people visiting. but we cant blame them, because the oldest member here has been aconvert for 4 years, and the other who has had 30 years was inactive for 25 years of that 30... BUT thats just in my area. we are working hard and loving it so much. Our neighbors are amazing and help in everything they can. honestly. we are also teaching two of the young men and their families who live in the same apartment complex as us! They are super excited and really interested in reading the book of mormon.

The only problem is the onlymusic wants to listen to is every hymn on bag pipe... i just remember the birthdays when moms friend would shw up in front of my door and start playing his bag pipe to wake me up. and its not bag pipe with anything else, like interesting irish music. JUST bag pipe...

Well i am loving my area, my mission president is one of the best men i hve ever met in my life, and im happy!
